2012 Week of Understanding

Diversity Through the Arts

The Week of Understanding will begin on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 and culminate with Experience the Arts Day on Thursday, April 12. The theme of the WOU for 2012 is “Diversity through the Arts.” The chosen theme invites participation from each division, inclusive of clubs and special interest groups, and attends to our religious and cultural diversity, in all of its various forms, with creativity and artistic expression.

Note:Unless performing, students are to be in uniform

  • North Campus - 4th, 5th, 6th graders to Main Campus. Buses leave WN  at 8:30 AM, return at 12:15 PM.
  • Primary School - Times for buses vary. See front office. 
  • Lower School - 9:45 AM-12:00 PM - 4th grade
                               10:00 AM-1:00 PM - 5th grade
                               10:30 AM-1:30 PM - 6th grade
  • Middle & Upper School - regular class schedule

On the run up to Week of Understanding, the LS Ambassadors Club will be working at  promoting the program of events.

Woodward North - Art Exchange with Schools Around the World

Every Woodward North student will contribute a piece of artwork which will be exhibited at Main Campus on Experience the Arts day, and then sent to other schools around the world afterwards.  In return, artwork will be sent back to Woodward North and exhibited at a time to be determined.
