Woodward Academy began a sister school relationship with the Terranova School in Mazabuka, Zambia, in 2004. Every year, the Woodward community works to contribute funds, books, computer equipment and other supplies to the school located on a coffee plantation run by Colin and Allison Street. The Streets started Terranova to offer a free tuition education for workers and surrounding villagers. Each year, the school has added a grade and now educates to grade 12. In Zambia, public education is only offered to grade seven. Every summer, a group of Woodward friends visits to help build up the infrastructure of the school, even establishing a medical clinic to serve workers and villagers.
