Operations Overview
The mission of the Operations Action Team is to enhance the environmental sustainability of Woodward Academy operations.
We achieve this through campus engagement, advanced technology implementation and operational improvements in the areas of campus landscaping and water use, building energy use, transportation and purchasing. Our team, composed of a diverse cross-section of campus stakeholders, leads an ongoing effort to make Woodward more environmentally and financially responsible.
Please see the map below for details on which buildings use green power and geothermal systems on campus.
LEED Certification
The Jordan N. Carlos Middle School campus was the first K-12 school to attain Silver LEED certification, an environmental construction standard established by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Primary School was built using LEED-like guidelines, and the new math and science facility received Gold LEED certification.
