Middle School Foreign Language

Students must become well-equipped citizens for the world in which they live. Foreign languages help students appreciate new and different cultures, understand future foreign market places, and develop interdisciplinary thinking skills. The goal of the Middle School foreign language program is to give students a knowledge of Spanish and/or French at the entry level in the following areas: speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Students in the Middle School foreign language program will complete the Spanish I or French I textbook.

Please visit our curriculum page for more information.

The Middle School Foreign Language department also organizes travel opportunities for students who are interested in broadening their knowledge and acquisition of the language which they study. There is an annual trip to Europe over Spring Break open to all students. They are selected in 7thgrade and travel in 8thgrade. There is also a trip to Costa Rica that takes place in the summer. This trip is open to 7th and 8th grade students. For more information, please visit our news and awards page, as well as the school Edline site and the Middle School Messenger.
