National Honor Society

Membership is by invitation only. Criteria for membership is based on scholarship, leadership, service, character, and a 3.5 College Recommendation GPA.
Grades 11 and 12 ONLY.

Language Honor Societies

French National Honor Society

Membership in the Société Honoraire de Français, also known as the French National Honor Society, is offered by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) to select students based on exceptional scholarship in French language.  The purpose of the national society is to recognize high achievement by students of secondary schools, and to promote ongoing interest in francophone studies.  Woodward's chapter inducts junior and senior students who have maintained a particularly high level of achievement in the AP Language track, which comprises the most challenging courses offered.

Latin Honor Society

The Latin Honor Society is a nationally recognized award sponsored by the Junior Classical League and is given to students who are Junior Classical League members, have maintained an A average for the year and have exemplified good citizenship. Members receive a parchment certificate, a gold seal and a membership card.

Spanish National Honor Society

Membership in Woodward’s chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, also known as the Spanish National Honor Society, is offered by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, Inc. (AATSP) to select students based on exceptional scholarship in Spanish. The purpose of the national society is to recognize high achievement in Spanish by students of secondary schools and to promote continuity of interest in Hispanic studies.  Woodward's chapter inducts junior and senior students who have maintained a particularly high level of achievement in our most challenging courses on the AP track.
