About the Upper School

The Woodward Academy Upper School strives to help students fulfill their potential – in every facet of their lives. Woodward provides opportunities for students to expand their horizons through academics, arts, athletics and community service.

Our dedicated teachers excel in their respective fields, and provide a stimulating, fun and challenging environment. Whether they are promoting academic excellence or demonstrating personal accountability, the Upper School teachers find creative and meaningful ways to communicate with their students.

The Upper School curriculum provides each student with an education that combines breadth, depth and flexibility.

Welcome to Woodward -
Upper School 2013 Edition

Class schedules are mailed beginning of July. Please go to the Upper Update (link to the left) for more back-to-school information for Upper School students.

The mandatory orientation for all 9th grade students and new students entering 10th -12th grades will be held Friday, August 9, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Note: All students should be in uniform for registration and orientation programs.

Transportation to Main Campus on August 9
Shuttle buses will run on Friday, August 9, from the College Park MARTA station to the Main Campus from 7:30 to 8:30 AM and back to MARTA at 2:30 PM. Woodward buses will run their regular morning and afternoon routes. The drop-off times for the afternoon stops will be one hour earlier than normal.
