More about personal fitness...

Designed to accommodate several of our student-athlete’s needs. First it provides our athletes with an opportunity to lift weights during the school day without missing practice time in the afternoon. Many of our athletes play multiple sports and cannot find time to lift weights in the afternoon. Second, the class gives upper school students an alternative to “team sports” physical education classes.

In the class, students are graded on their ability to improve on their strength, speed, and flexibility.  They lift weights on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.  On Wednesday, the students participate in some type of speed and agility training usually in the form of a competitive drill. There is also a classroom element as mentioned above.
