Woodward Academy is a member of the Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools (AAAIS). Members of AAAIS operate utilizing a common calendar for admissions issues. In particular, AAAIS schools agree to a common notification date to allow candidates to know their status, whether accepted, wait listed, or denied. The notification date generally occurs during the first week in April.
Dates for candidates applying for the 2012-2013 school year are as follows:
- Candidates applying from outside the United States will be mailed their letters on
Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
- Candidates applying from outside Georgia will be mailed their letters on
Thursday, April 5, 2012.
- All Georgia residents will be mailed their decisions on Friday, April 6, 2012. Decisions will also be posted online on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 12:01 AM using Online Admissions.
For your privacy, Woodward does not release decisions by phone. After receiving the decision, questions can be addressed by calling the Dean of Admissions at 404.765.4001 starting Tuesday, April 10, 2012. All decisions made by the Admissions Committee are final.
