Testing Requirements
Testing Requirements
Testing is required for all candidates seeking admission to Woodward Academy.
Applicants for grades PreKindergarten through Five are tested on the campus to which they are applying. The testing is held during the months of January through March. Appointments for these test dates will be made after an application has been received.
Candidates applying for grades Six through Eleven are required to take the SSAT. More information on the SSAT can be found on their website at
http://www.ssat.org/
or a SSAT brochure can be requested from the Admissions Office at 404.765.4001. The March SSAT testing date is the last date that will allow the results to be forwarded in time for admissions consideration.
Students applying for the Transition Program will need a current psychoeducational evaluation which has been conducted by a licensed psychologist within the last two years.
Candidates for grades PreKindergarten through Five who are applying from out of state or out of the country will need to have an educational psychologist in their area contact the Admissions Office and speak with the Dean of Admissions regarding testing.
