Thank you for your inquiry regarding the financial aid program at Woodward Academy. The information below should be helpful as you consider your options.

The following should also be kept in mind:
- The Financial Aid Letter should be addressed to the Dean of Admissions and should describe specific reasons for seeking assistance. The letter should also include an explanation of the student's background, number of years at the Academy, talents and extracurricular activities. Please be specific and thorough.
- In order to be considered for financial aid, the financial information detailed above, excluding the letter, is required of both biological parents even in cases of divorce, separation or estrangement.
- The Committee realizes that candidates would like to receive as much aid as possible. Please do not ask for a specific amount of assistance. The Committee will determine what the school is willing and able to offer.
- Aid is awarded on a one-year basis only.
- Students need to be in good academic standing (at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA) and appropriate conduct status.
- No merit-based (academic, artistic or athletic) scholarships are awarded.
- If the candidate is a current Woodward Academy student, the candidate's family must have a zero balance with the Academy's Business Office and must be re-enrolled prior to the Financial Aid Committee Meeting in March.
- Notification of aid will be announced via letter from the financial aid committee during the spring. Decisions of the financial aid committee are final. It is the policy of the financial aid committee not to re-evaluate awards which are considered by the Academy, for all intents and purposes, as gifts.
- Candidates for financial aid should communicate about aid with the Admissions Office only. Discussions with other offices on campus is considered a violation of policy and will result in revocation of financial aid.
- Candidates who fail to provide the required information, do not follow the guidelines, or miss deadlines may not be considered for assistance by the financial aid committee.
- Financial Aid is generally limited to students in grade 7-12.
- All information supplied by the parent is considered confidential.
- Woodward Academy does not discriminate with regard to the awarding of financial aid because of an applicant's race, color, creed, sex or national origin.
- Failure to comply with the above stated regulations may result in failure to be considered for financial aid or in forfeiture of aid.
GOAL Scholarship Information: The following information is only applicable to new applicants to Woodward Academy in grades 7-12, who are currently attending a public school.
