• Riflery Defeats Spalding

  The Woodward Academy Rifle team improved their record to 5-1 on the season with 1138-1102 win over Spalding High School on Thursday. Woodward Academy was led by Freshman Cameron Patterson who shot an outstanding 289 out of 300. Senior Jackie Morris turned in a equally strong score of 286.

• Chloe Bootstaylor and Haley Zagoria Earn Academic Honors

  Woodward Academy Girls Golf team alumni Chloe Bootstaylor and Haley Zagoria, both 2011 graduates, recently earned Academic recognition playing college golf. Chloe, a member of the Rhodes College Women's Golf Team, was named Academic All-American by the National Golf Coaches Association. Haley, a member of the Georgia State University Golf Team, was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the Fall semester.

• Morris Qualifies for State Rifle Competition

  Jackie Morris, a Senior on the Woodward Academy Rifle team, qualified for the State Championships on Wednesday with a score of 291 out of 300. Woodward lost to last year's State Champion Griffin HS by a narrow margin, 1136-1143 but Jackie's individual effort qualified her for the April competition. The team will attempt to qualify for the State Team competition at the Area Championships March 15th.
