• Boys Soccer Defeats #2 Centennial

  Woodward Academy took on the 2009 5A State Finalist and 2010 ranked #2 in all classifications powerhouse Centennial HS last night at Colquitt Stadium. The War Eagles would have strong play at both ends of the field and get goals from Michael Kendall and Don Collins as they defeated Centennial 2-1. The Boys team enters the Spring Break with a 3-1 overall record.

• Rifle Team Advances to State

  The Woodward Academy Rifle team advanced to the 1st Round of the State Championships with a 5th place finish at the Area Championships. Top scores for Woodward were turned in by Haynes Curtis (288) and Jackie Morris (287). The 1st Round will be held at Lee County High School on Monday, March 15th at 1:00 PM.

• Girls Lacrosse Defeats Decatur

  The Varsity Girls lacrosse team improved to 3-1 last night with a 14-4 victory over Decatur. The Lady War Eagles were lead by 5 goals from Drew Jackson, and 2 goals each from Ruth Wellborn, Molly Bates, Lizzy Taylor, and Maddy Gordon. Elise Snyder had 6 saves in goal to lead the defense.

• Ultimate Defeats Grady

  The Woodward Academy's Varsity Ultimate Frisbee team defeated Grady High School on February 25th in their first match of the year under some tough playing conditions. Woodward also hosted and played in a 3 game round robin tournament recently. They won games against Lakeside, Chamblee and Druid Hills High Schools by wide margins, remaining undefeated with a record of 4-0.

• Baseball Schedule Changes

  The Varsity Baseball game scheduled for today has been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday, March 4th. Game time will remain 5:30 PM and will still be played at Locust Grove. The 9th Grade Baseball game that was rescheduled for today has now been canceled. The Middle School Baseball games scheduled for today have also been canceled.
