  • Today's Cancellations

    The girls and boys JV soccer matches scheduled for today at Paideia have been canceled. No make-up date has been set at this time. Girls and boys varsity tennis matches vs. Pace Academy have been canceled and rescheduled for Thursday, April 2nd. In addition, both middle school baseball games for today have also been canceled.

  • Girls Lacrosse Improves to 3-0

    The girls varsity lacrosse team took the short trip to Tri-Cities HS on Wednesday evening to take on Lady Bulldogs. Woodward Academy improved to 3-0 on the season with a 12-0 win and their first shutout of the season. The Lady War Eagles will return to action following spring break when they will travel to McIntosh HS on March 19th.

  • Soccer Sweeps Sandy Creek

    The girls and boys soccer teams opened their 2015 region schedule on Tuesday evening at Colquitt Stadium against Sandy Creek. The girls team improved to 4-0-1 on the season with a 4-1 win over the Lady Patriots. The boys team went on a 2nd half scoring spree to defeat Sandy Creek 8-1 and remain a perfect 4-0 on the year. Both teams return to region action on Thursday when they will travel to Troup County HS.

  • Boys Basketball Advances to Sweet 16

    Woodward's boys basketball team advanced to the 2nd round of the AAAA state basketball tournament on Wednesday evening with 58-48 win over visiting Grady HS. The War Eagles got 14 points from William Wimby, 12 points from Jacob Robertson and a double-double from Bobby Kannady with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Woodward Academy will now travel to Liberty County HS to take on the Panthers on Saturday, February 21st. Tip-off is set for 4 PM with all tickets $7.

  • Girls and Boys Basketball Enter State Tournament

    Both the girls and boys basketball teams qualified the AAAA state basketball tournament and will begin play on Wednesday, February 18th. The girls team enter the tournament as the #3 seed from region 5-AAAA and will travel to St. Pius X. Tip-off is set for 6 PM. The boys team enter the tournament as the #2 seed from region 5-AAAA and will play host to Grady HS. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM in Paget Gym.

    Due to St. Pius X hosting a doubleheader, tickets for the girls game will be $10 for both parents and students. Tickets for the boys game at Woodward Academy will be $7.

War Eagle Athletic Facilities

The Athletic Complex on Main Campus includes three gymnasiums, Dodd, Padget and New Gyms; the  eight-lane Olympic pool in the Kennedy Natatorium; the Drucker Baseball Field; Sutherland Family Softball Field; Shailendra Tennis Complex; eight-lane Olympic size track as well as numerous practice fields including the new Willingham Fields.

The  gymnasium facility also includes locker rooms, a fitness & weight center, classrooms and offices, the Tyler H. Brown Student Center, and the Campus Store. The 5,000-seat lighted Graham Hixon Field at Colquitt Stadium includes stands for both home and away teams, a video scoreboard, an artificial turf field, and concession stands.
