School Counseling

We know that the wise guidance that leads to success beyond Woodward must extend beyond our classroom walls. That’s why from pre-K through graduation, alongside teachers, our counselors guide students every step of the way on their academic and personal journeys. Their credentials are remarkable—at all levels, our counselors are skillful mental health professionals with master’s degrees, and some also hold certificates and licenses in the field. Even more than their credentials, we're impressed with the compassion they show to each and every Woodward student. We believe you will be, too.

Counseling is catered to the age and maturity level of the students at each of our schools. Student communication with counselors is confidential, and counselors work with parents, psychologists, and psychiatrists as needed to help our students reach their full potential.

The counseling program at Woodward North focuses on the social and emotional health and well-being of the child, life skills, technological skills, student skills, and family support. Curriculum is presented through classroom lessons, grade-level activities, and school-wide activities. Our mission is to promote each child’s success by making sure they are prepared for learning each day.
