Upper School (9-12)
Look around Jane Woodruff Hall, our main Upper School building.
In our Upper School, we don’t measure a student’s success against an arbitrary standard. Instead, because we know our students so well, we measure their progress against themselves, inspiring them to push beyond their self-imposed limits. We offer incredible opportunities in the arts, service learning, athletics, and other cocurricular activities, all revolving around a unique academic program that truly tailors the experience to each student’s individual abilities, needs, and aspirations.
In our private Upper School near Atlanta, students can take a combination of Honors, Enriched College Prep, and College Prep courses, creating a schedule that challenges them in their best subjects while providing the resources they need to reach their full potential. We also offer 20 Advanced Placement courses, and 94 percent of our students score 3 or higher on AP exams. Our dedicated teachers, among the best in private high schools near Atlanta, excel in their respective fields, providing learning experiences that enrich, inspire, and challenge.
Our curriculum provides each student with an education that combines breadth, depth, and flexibility in programs ranging from core academics to opportunities in STEM, the arts, global connections, and world languages. At every step, Woodward Upper School students receive wise guidance from teachers, counselors, and coaches who care deeply and know them well.
Our seniors achieve 100 percent acceptance to top four-year colleges and universities, and graduating classes earn millions in scholarships annually. Our impact on students extends far beyond college. Alumni are succeeding in every field and leading meaningful lives, contributing to their communities, their country, and the world.
