Where are you going to college and what are you studying?
I’m attending the University of Pennsylvania, and I plan to major in biology and minor in economics.
Why did you select UPenn?
I selected my college because of the wide range of opportunities it offers in the field of medicine. I was very involved in scientific research at Woodward, and I believe the University of Pennsylvania will have the best opportunities for me to continue my research work. Additionally, networking possibilities are endless at Penn.
What are your hopes and dreams for the future?
I hope to become a doctor and, if possible, a surgeon. I also hope to make a difference by helping find cures for major diseases through research.
In what ways did Woodward prepare you for embarking on college and your future?
Woodward challenged me academically and helped me grow as a person. My time at Woodward helped prepare me for college life and difficult academics. I think the opportunities afforded to me by Woodward, like academics as well as cocurricular activities, allowed me to get into the University of Pennsylvania and prepared me to handle college.
What are your best memories of Woodward?
My best memories of Woodward are simply the interactions with my best friends and the fun experiences I have had with them, from eating lunch at school every day to participating in events such as Experience the Arts Day and Spring Fling.
