Primary School

Visual Arts
Our Primary School visual arts program allows our young students to experiment, express themselves, and make mistakes in a creative atmosphere, inspiring them to pursue challenges, address problems, and value differences in themselves and others.
Students in pre-kindergarten through third grade produce two- and three-dimensional art—both figurative and abstract—using creative-thinking and problem-solving in the process. Visual art builds self-esteem and positive attitudes. Every student uses a variety of materials, media, and techniques to produce original works of art, and students are given the opportunity to discuss their work as well as the artwork of peers, famous artists, and other cultures. We teach intrinsic lessons of all kinds—about respect for self and others, the value of creativity, and many other topics—in the process of teaching art.
