The Clay Target team turned in another strong performance this season, including a 6th place finish at the GISA State Championships in Savannah, Georgia. In addition to the team's outstanding performance at the State Championships, the War Eagles captured 1st place at the Chuck Wetherington Classic and finished no lower than 3rd at any competition throughout the entire season.

At the State Championships, the team was led by Colin Caldwell, Donald Dutson, Henry Stuart, Carter Caldwell, and Hayden Fritts. The team score of 1337 is the all-time leading score by any past Woodward team. A special congratulations to Colin Caldwell for achieving All-State status by placing 5th in the individual HOA competition. Colin's score of 283 is Woodward's all-time highest individual score. In individual events, Colin Caldwell's 98 earned 6th place in Skeet and his 94 in trap earned a 6th place finish in that event. Henry Stuart also finished tied for 6th place in Trap with a 94 score. Donald Dutson's score of 91 in Sporting Clays put him in 11th place and is the highest Sporting Clays score ever posted by a Woodward athlete at the GISA State Tournament.

With a strong core of younger athletes on the squad, Woodward’s Clay Target team should continue to be one of the top programs in Georgia in future seasons.
