The boys and girls swimming and diving program had an amazing year! This season, the boys team finished 6-1 during the regular season, and the girls team finished 2-1-4 throughout the regular season. At the GHSA 4A-5A State Swim and Dive Meet, the boys team finished as the State Runner-Ups overall and the girls finished in 12th place. The combined teams had 15 top 10 finishes at the state meet.
Will Brevard, Ryan Cook, Harrison Barnard, and Henry Nichols were State Champions in the boys 400 Free Relay, finishing with a time of 3:13.53. Harrison Barnard finished 2nd in the boys 100 Backstroke, breaking his own backstroke record for the school with a time of 51.25. Harrison also broke his own record in the boys 100 Butterfly with a time of 51.14, finishing in 4th place at the state meet. The boys 200 Medley Relay team of Harrison Barnard, Ryan Cook, Josh Armour, and Henry Nichols came in 4th place and the boys 200 Free Relay, consisting of Will Brevard, Aaron Su, Henry Hughey, and Josh Armour, placed 7th overall. Christian Houston placed 11th overall in the diving portion of the state meet, and Zach Galitzin placed 5th in the boys diving competition. Henry Nichols came in 5th in the boys 50 Free and boys 100 Free events, alongside Will Brevard, who placed 8th and 10th in the respective events. Ryan Cook also had two top 10 finishes for the boys, 6th in the 200 Individual Medley and 8th in the 100 fly.
Campbell Masterson had two top 10 finishes for the girls, placing 6th in the 200 Free and 7th in the 100 Free. The girls 400 Free Relay, consisting of Elizabeth Reese, Campbell Masterson, Emma Jones, and Ava Thompson, placed 13th overall, and the girls 200 Medley Relay team of Emma Jones, Gabby Hill, Emma Layton, and Elizabeth Reese placed 18th. The girls 200 Free Relay team of Reese McDowell, Ava Thompson, Elizabeth Reese, and Campbell Masterson came in 9th place.
