Beyond the Classroom

You’ll find your way to anything your heart desires at Woodward Academy.

You can play lacrosse, run cross country, or join our state championship girls basketball team. You can sing and dance in the fantastical productions of our annual spring musical, play trumpet in the jazz band, learn jewelry-making or fiber arts, or create your own welded sculptures. There’s also our championship Debate Team, Robotics Team, Student Publications, WALive.TV, and so much more. In our Global Connections program, you can explore the world, host students from our partner schools, and even earn a diploma distinction in Global Studies. Service is at the heart of our school, and you’ll learn to engage with your community and your world with empathy and understanding with opportunities to earn diploma distinctions in Service Learning and Sustainability. At Woodward, you’ll get to know classmates, teachers, and coaches who inspire you outside of the classroom, and these transformational experiences will shape you and give you a strong foundation as you make your way into the world.
