Both the Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams won the Region 3-AAAAA Championship on Saturday morning at Locust Grove Middle School. Jack Dempsey--the Region Champion--Justin Frediani, Elo Agbogu, Thomas Freer, Swen Cain, Aakash Patel (all earning 1st-Team All-Region Honors), and Louie Bates swept the top 7 spots to earn a perfect team score of 15. The girls also earned a perfect team score of 15 as Kenyah Conner--the Region Champion--Shristi Roy, Wallace Putt, Abbey Miller, Nadia Alavi, and Gabby Hill finished 1-6 to earn 1st-Team All-Region Honors, and Meryl Inman finished 9th. Hannah Ackerman won the Girls JV race and Oscar Rivera won the Boys JV race. A special congratulations to the runners who ran season-best times:

Both the boys and girls competed in the AAAAA State Championship race at Carrollton Elementary School on Saturday. The boys team of Justin Frediani, Jack Dempsey, Thomas Freer, Louie Bates, Aakash Patel, Oscar Rivera, and Swen Cain improved 1:15 on their team average from September to place 24th in the field. Carrollton Elementary
Boys 13th; Girls 10th
Both the boys and the girls cross country teams finished their seasons in Carrollton at the AAAA State Championships. Jack Dempsey, the team's top finisher in a strong pack with only 33 seconds separating 1-5, led the boys to a 13th-place finish out of 32 teams. The team lowered its team average time by 12 seconds from their 2018 season. The girls, led by freshman Hannah Ackerman, finished 10th in the 32-team field.
