Krish Tripathy '26 Wins the Georgia App Design Challenge

Last month Krish Tripathy '26 was named the Platinum winner in the the CS4GA Georgia App Design Challenge.

CS4GA describes the competition as a way to foster computer science and programming skills in students. Per the organization's website:

The Georgia App Design Challenge encourages students to learn and apply computer science skills while building their confidence, motivation, and student portfolios. In collaboration with the Georgia Tech Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing, this statewide event allows Georgia students to develop and share their software applications on a platform of their choice.
This challenge encourages students to develop a mobile application that will solve a current problem facing their local community.

The theme for this year's CS4GA App Design Challenge was "Smart Communities and Sustainability." Krish's app, Finance Master, helps facilitate financial literacy. He was awarded a tech swag bag. In the wake of his win, Krish will be recognized this month by the GA State Board of Education and will have the opportunity to present at GAMathCon/CSCon in July. He also earned an internship with MadLearn.
