2024 Wrestling Individual title winners

Woodward's boys and girls wrestling team finished as All Classification State Runners-Up at the recent championship held in Macon. Woodward combined to send more students to the championship than any other school in the state with 11 boys and six girls in competition.

For the girls team, senior Aneri Patel won the Girls State Championship at 100lbs, becoming the first girl to win an individual state championship in wrestling. Aneri finishes her Woodward career leading the state with 140 wins and a Georgia state season win total of 55 this season. Sophomore Audry Zents and junior Efa Oju finished in 5th place, with senior Zammy Okoli advancing to the finals for the second consecutive year and finishing as the State Runner-Up.

The boys team tied the Woodward school record for state qualifies this season. Senior Tanner Spalding (132lbs), junior Robby DeHaven (165lbs), and sophomore Dylan Reel (157lbs) all earned state championship titles in their weight classes. For Spalding and DeHaven this is their second individual state title. Senior Christian Bell (215lbs) won 2nd place, with seniors Heath Augustyn (120lbs), Hunter Block (138lbs), and Simon Palatchi (190lbs) all earning 5th in their weight classes.
