Director of Debate Maggie Berthiaume has been named the 2026 Don Crabtree Distinguished Service Award recipient, a national honor presented by the National Speech and Debate Association.

Named in honor of former NSDA Board President Don Crabtree, this award recognizes debate coaches who demonstrate exceptional commitment to the speech and debate community through service and leadership. Recipients are distinguished by their efforts to grow the activity, whether by hosting tournaments, mentoring students, or recruiting new schools to join the organization.
