Middle School History teacher and coach Candice Edwards represented Woodward Academy at the 2026 Masters Track & Field Championships, earning three silver medals in her first appearance at the national competition. She also recorded fourth- and fifth-place finishes while competing in five events.
Held at Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio, the championships brought together more than 2,000 athletes from across the country, ages 25 to 99, including 60 former Olympians.
Edwards teaches 7th grade History, serves as the Middle School Track & Field coach, and is a member of the Girls' Flag Football coaching staff.
