Rising senior Skylar Maxell has been selected to participate in the Interfaith Children’s Movement’s (ICM) Youth Advocacy Internship (YAI) for summer 2025.

The YAI is a highly selective program that equips high school students with the tools to become effective advocates and changemakers. Interns engage in hands-on experiences focused on public speaking, leadership development, and policy advocacy to address critical issues affecting children and families across Georgia.

Skylar’s selection comes during a record-breaking year for YAI, with the program receiving its highest number of applicants to date.
