The Robotics Team at the Creator's Zone Opening

On November 15, eight members of the Upper School Robotics Team attended the Grand Opening of The Creators Zone–a new space at the Johnson STEM Activity Center (JSAC) that offers students access to immersive technology such as Meta Quest 2.

The special celebration gave students, educators, and Atlanta community advocates a first look at the new Creators Zone. Guests heard from National Inventor Hall of Fame recipient Dr. Lonnie Johnson, NFL Hall of Famers Steve Young and Jerry Rice of Forever Young Foundation, and Meta(Facebook). Students and guests enjoyed hands-on virtual reality immersive experiences in sports, creativity, and learning by showcasing a few of the inspiring opportunities the metaverse has to offer.
