Anish Patel '24 and Miles Whitehead '25--Team Phlint--was recognized by Project Invent for their Quackguard design for Demo Day X.
Patel and Whitehead partnered with the City of College Park and the nonprofit organization Finding the Flint to provide a solution for water monitoring the Flint River. Their design, the Quackguard, provided an all-in-one water monitoring system to wirelessly record sensor data related to water quality. The solar powered duck decoy enclosure was designed to suspend in water, providing 24/7 water quality monitoring via WiFi connectivity.
Team Phlint received $500 in funding for their winning design.
