The Varsity Girls Volleyball team has been recognized with the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, presented to high school and collegiate volleyball programs that maintain a cumulative team grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale) throughout the academic year.

This year, 1,432 high school and collegiate volleyball teams nationwide earned the prestigious distinction, recognizing their commitment to academic achievement alongside athletic success.

In addition to receiving the Team Academic Award, Woodward's Varsity Girls Volleyball team also earned AVCA Honor Roll recognition, placing the program among the top 20% of teams nationally for academic performance.
