The Varsity Volleyball team capped an incredible season by winning the GHSA AAAAA State Championship with a thrilling five-set victory over McIntosh High School (25-16, 25-20, 22-25, 22-25, 15-4).

After jumping out to a 2-0 lead, the War Eagles faced a strong comeback from the Chiefs, who evened the match at two sets apiece. In the decisive fifth set, Woodward quickly regained control—powered by three straight aces from Lotus Laurencin—and closed out the match in dominant fashion.

With the victory, Woodward claimed its 11th state title and first since 2010, capping an unforgettable championship run.
