Woodward North fifth-grader Jonathan H. recently won the Speak Up, Speak Out Ann Owen Gordon Teen Oratorical competition, sponsored by Jack & Jill of America. Jonathan won his age division (10-12) with his speech, "Leading for Today to Achieve Tomorrow," and qualified to compete in the regional competition.
The Ann Owen Gordon Teen Oratorical Contest is designed to inspire and encourage teens to embrace and value the art of public speaking.
