Woodward North’s first 5K and Fun Run brought the community together for a meaningful cause on Saturday at Cauley Creek Park, with more than 250 participants taking part in the event. The race served as both a community-building opportunity and a fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting the Jesse Draper Boys & Girls Club.

Adding a unique educational element to the event, Woodward North’s third-grade students played an important role in race operations through a hands-on STEAM lab project. Students used RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chips to help score and time runners, applying classroom learning in a real-world setting.
