What would students be surprised to find out about you?

Not only is technical theatre one of my passions that I am glad to be back into, but I also hold a culinary degree and cooked for five years in professional kitchens.

What is your favorite book, movie, and band/performer?

My Favorite book is still "The Dark is Rising" by Susan Cooper, which I read in 8th Grade in Mrs. Baldowski's class. My current favorite movie is Hocus Pocus. I have a very eclectic taste in music, but I think right now my favorite musician is Josh Groban.

What constitutes a “good day” at school for you?

The best part of my day is seeing the "lightbulb" go off when a student makes a connection and learns something new.

How did your own school experience influence your teaching career?

Looking back on my educational experience here at Woodward, the classes and teachers I remember most were the ones where I had the most fun while learning. Therefore, my goal as a teacher is to be fair and approachable but fun so that my students enjoy learning.

What is the single most important thing you hope to impart to your students?

That if you work hard and do everything to the best of your ability everything will work out just how it is supposed to be. Everyone has their own niche in the world. Not everyone is an academic, an artist, or an athlete and that is okay.
