Our upcoming issue of Woodward magazine is focused on all the amazing developments and destinations right here in “the Woodward Neighborhood” around Main Campus. Here’s a sneak peak of some of our most delectable findings!
Outside the gates of Woodward, the Aerotropolis is home to delicious global restaurants. Even beyond some of WA’s favorite spots like Louisiana Bistreaux, Kafenio, and Brake Pad, our local neighborhood is brimming with incredible international fare, and included here are just a few of our favorites that are under-appreciated but not to be missed.
579 North Central Ave, Hapeville
Mami’s is home to some of the best deals in the neighborhood with delicious, generous portions of traditional Cuban fare, including a dynamite Cuban sandwich. The empanadas are also not to be missed.
3823 Main Street, College Park
Relocated to our neighborhood after Hurricane Katrina, Corner Grille serves up sandwiches, salads, and entrees all with a Cajun twist. Come for the shrimp and grits; stay for the beignets.

If you like seafood and spice, this is your spot. For the tamer palates, check out the pad see ew noodles, the panang curry, sesame chicken, or potstickers.

We’re lucky to have Ethiopian food right down the block from Main Campus, and did you know they serve breakfast too? For dinner, go with a group to take full advantage of their platters to share.
