The boys soccer team finished the regular season 19-2-0 with a perfect 7-0 region record and a No. 4 national ranking by the United Soccer Coaches (NSCAA). En route to the Region 3-AAAAA Championship title, the War Eagles notably defeated top programs Paideia, Westminster, McIntosh, Druid Hills, N. Atlanta, Cross Keys, Johnson Gainesville, Pius, Lovett, Pace, Grady, and Northview.

The boys entered the AAAAA State Playoffs as a No. 1 seed and defeated the No. 4 seeded Coffee High School in opening round action 3-1. The team continued to progress through the next two rounds, defeating Northgate 3-1 in round two and Midtown High School (Grady) 1-0 in the quarterfinals. The War Eagles were eventually eliminated in a thrilling contest by Johnson-Gainesville in the AAAAA State Semifinals with a score of 5-6.

Several post season awards were received, including senior Ethan Gill named 5A Player of Year and Coach Holmes named 5A Coach of Year. 

The War Eagles will look to contend once again for a region and state title next season.
