Woodward competed in the GHSA Game Day Cheer Competition event this winter for the first time in Academy history. The WA Game Day squad worked hard throughout the winter season to prepare for the annual February competition held at Mercer University. 

The War Eagles turned in an outstanding performance at the State Competition, finishing just outside of the top 10. Game Day Cheer teams are evaluated on their ability to lead the crowd, proper skill incorporations and performance, motions, dance, and overall routine. Woodward's Game Day squad is composed of members from the football cheerleading squad.
