The Best-in-Grade Award is underwritten by Bloomberg Philanthropies and provides 24 students, including two artists and two writers for each grade 7-12, with $500 scholarships.

The Scholastic Art Competition, the largest art competition in the United States, is held at both regional and national levels. Each year, the Scholastic Alliance, with more than 100 regional affiliates across the country bring the program to local communities. Approximately 340,000 art and writing works are submitted at the regional level.

Jessica will receive her awards on June 6, 2019, at a ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
