Lower School Students Support American Heart Association
On Friday, January 17, Lower School students gathered for the 29th Annual Jump Rope for Heart event, the Kids Heart Challenge. The students raised more than $14,664 to support the American Heart Association whose mission is to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Through Jump Rope for Heart, students learn jump rope skills, how their hear works, and raise money to help kids with special hearts.
The top fundraiser was fifth-grader Ava M., with $1,715, followed by fifth-grader Lily M., who raised $1,124. Both girls received an honorary cape for their fundraising efforts to support this service initiative.
