Sophomore Gabriela Norwood and seventh-grader Ava Wimbush earned the 2019 National American Miss Georgia Jr. Teen and Preteen titles, respectively, at the state pageant held in July. Gabriela and Ava were selected from 100 girls in each division for their outstanding accomplishments in public speaking, confidence, and community service.
They will be attending the National Pageant in Anaheim, California, at Disneyland during the week of Thanksgiving break to represent the state of Georgia. There, they have the opportunity to win more than $500,000 in scholarships and prizes. Gabriela and Ava also will meet with local, state, and national leaders this year, while continuing to serve their community and the state of Georgia.
The National American Miss Pageants are dedicated to celebrating America's greatness and encouraging future leaders by developing the success of young women across our nation.
