Students Receive Top Ratings in Piano Audition
A number of Woodward students participated in the Georgia Music Teachers Association (GMTA) Auditions this year. GMTA Auditions are dedicated to the promotion of excellence in piano concerto performance. Congratulations to the following students:
- Junior Reeya Bazari was rated Outstanding Performer at both the local and regional piano auditions this year and will advance to the state level competition.
- Fifth-grader Rhythm B. and sixth-grader Nikhil P. received Outstanding Performer ratings at the local piano audition and received the Award of Excellence and Honorable Mention, respectively, at the regional level.
- Junior Lara Patel and eighth-grader Ian Mednick both received Outstanding Performer awards at the local piano competition.
GMTA is an organization including more than 700 independent and collegiate music teachers throughout the state that has existed to support music teaching and the art of music since 1954 and is affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association.
