Woodward's Upper School Girl Scout Troop Completes Service Projects

Woodward Girl Scouts in Troop 10715 have completed a number of service projects throughout the year. Congratulations to juniors Gabrielle Larmond, Nadia McGhee, Tonia Odemiyuwa, Mia Carson, and sophomore Isabella Pollydore for the following service projects:

  • For Martin Luther King Day, First, the Troop made 200 sandwiches to donate to Atlanta Mission.
  • 2019 cookie sales raised funds to travel to the Terranova School, Woodward's sister school in Zambia, that the Troop adopted as an outreach partner in Middle School.
  • Supported the Reach Out and Read program through partnership with the Woodward Primary and Lower School librarians to collect gently used hardcover books to donate to a local YMCA. In November, the Troop met former UN Ambassador and Mayor Andrew Young who commended their good work supporting Reach Out and Read and the YMCA.
  • Hosted a Paper & Pen recycle drive and a Hat & Glove drive to donate to the Terranova School.
