Meet our Upper School Co-Chair
Suzette Thompson is the Upper School Co-Chair. She and her husband, Maurice, have twins in grade 10. Their children have attended Woodward for the past eleven years and they consider it their home. They have had the privilege and pleasure of meeting wonderful and supportive friends, teachers, administrators, and staff during their time at Woodward. They appreciate that Woodward provides an opportunity for these relationships to develop and as a result builds a strong sense of community. Field Day at Woodward North is their favorite Woodward event.
Suzette misses being able to have face to face conversations and share a warm hug due to the pandemic. She is looking forward to participating in-person with Woodward families at PC events once we resume normal activities.
Suzette and Maurice chose Woodward for its stability, academic rigor, arts, athletics, focus on college preparedness, diversity, inclusion, safety, warmth, and feeling of home. They were truly impressed eleven years ago when the principal, faculty, and staff greeted their children by name each morning and afternoon. They also looked for a school that would reinforce the same character and moral values that they emphasize at home. Their twins have thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunities that Woodward has afforded them. They have developed a sense of community and have participated in many service projects organized by Woodward. Some of them include fundraising for Trek, and Terra Nova, our sister school in Africa, and participating in the annual food drive. They have grown and been enriched by every experience.
