Welcome new Primary School students and families! The WA Parent Community invites you to join us on the morning of June 2 to meet other new Primary School families at our fabulous Primary School playground for a playdate. On August 4, we invite you to join all PS families and students for a back-to-school bash with music, food, and playground fun. If you ask our Primary School students about their favorite parts of school, one place comes up over and over—the playground! Families with new students entering grades pre-K through third are invited to a morning of serious fun and not-so-serious socializing. Put on your play clothes (no uniforms needed) and get ready to make new friends! Parents, while your children check out the playground with other new and returning students, you will have a chance to meet and chat with both new and current Woodward Academy families. Get ready to shake, rattle, and roll into a fantastic new school year! The Primary School welcomes you to our Back-to-School Bash, with high-energy music and other great surprises that will fuel your excitement and help shake out some of those new school, new year jitters! Our DJ will have you tapping your feet and moving to the beat. This out-of-uniform event is a wonderful way for our children to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Join us for a coffee party hosted by Dr. Chris Freer and his wife, Amanda, at 1673 Rugby Avenue from 8 to 10 a.m. on August 13 and meet other Primary and Lower School families. If the caffeine isn’t enough to get you excited about the 2018-19 year, the chance to catch up with old friends and meet new ones will definitely have you ready to put on your Spirit Gear and start a fantastic Woodward year!

Please join us for an ice cream sundae and a chance to explore your new school! All of our new students are invited to take part in a fun scavenger hunt designed specifically to introduce new students to the Woodward North campus. No uniforms, just lots of fun! While students have a chance to make new friends and get to know their new school, parents will have the opportunity to ask questions of our Parent Community volunteers as well as our administration, and to get to know other new Woodward families. This event is for all new students, including siblings who will be entering Woodward North this Fall. Please register to attend by June 2.
August 4, 2018, 1-3 p.m. Jump Into School - Get Air Johns Creek
We will jump into the new school year with an event for all new students in pre-K through 6th grade. Join us for a chance to meet other new Woodward North students, as well as several student ambassadors, while you check out the trampolines, foam pit, slack line, and more! Parents can enjoy light snacks in our party room, meet other new families, and get those last-minute questions answered. Please note that Get Air requires a waiver be completed for all “jumpers,” and jump socks will be provided by Get Air. This is an out-of-uniform event. Please register to attend by August 1.

Woodward North will be hosting the TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) program this year—a global program aimed at fostering future generations of entrepreneurs.
Rising fourth-grader Marissa J. participated in the 74th annual Miss Georgia Pageant.
Rising 8th grader Nicholas Allen participated in Duke TIP's summer studies program at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.
