PS Back-to-School

Registration / Orientation

On Friday, August 10, 2018, we will hold mandatory Registration Day for all new and returning families. Students should dress in their uniforms on this day. Students in pre-K, kindergarten, and second grade should report between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., while first and third grade students should report between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. If you have children in both sessions, you may choose the session that works best for your family. Likewise, families with Lower School students are welcome to attend the session that best fits with your Lower School visit. On Registration Day, you will be able to:

  • Meet your child’s teacher.
  • Check in with our school nurse to ensure all medical records are up-to-date.
  • Visit with our technology staff to make sure your parent accounts are active.
  • Walk through the “cafegymatheatorium” to pick up carpool tags and student identification cards; receive information regarding extracurricular activities for the year; and register for after school care.

Supply LIst

School supplies are purchased for you by Woodward Academy, and a bill will be sent to your home at the end of September or first of October.

In addition, your child will need to purchase a bookbag of his or her choice. We request that the bookbag NOT have wheels and that it be clearly marked with the child's name on the OUTSIDE of the bag. Some children have their name embroidered on the bag, or you can write it in black sharpie.

Summer Reading

Although there is no required summer reading in the Primary School, we encourage your child to read, read, read!
