Do I have to register for multiple weeks at one time?

You can choose to register for multiple weeks/camps at one time and pay in full or take advantage of the payment plan option. With the payment plan option, your balance must be paid before the first day of camp. You can also choose to register weekly for camps and pay as you register. Do I have to create a new account each time I register?

If you are a Woodward family, the summer camp account is a different account than your student account. You will only create your summer camp account one time. Each additional time you register for a camp, your account information will be saved for you to edit.

Do you have a limit to camp size?

Several of our specialty camps are designed for small groups. These camps may fill up early in the spring. If you miss registration and a camp is full, you can sign up for our waiting list. The summer camp office will contact you if a space becomes available.

What if I want to sign up for a morning camp, but I can’t pick up my child until 5 p.m.?

We offer the WACtivity Camp as an extended day option for campers who will not be picked up at the end of their academic, athletic, or enrichment camps. After lunch, your camper will be escorted to WACtivity Camp, where they will sign in and participate in activities such as arts and crafts, games, and swimming. Campers are divided into groups by age. The cost for WACtivity camp is $55 for 3:30-6 p.m., $110 for 1-6 p.m., and $125 for 1-4 p.m. and the afternoon bus ride.

If your name is listed as a referral for a new camper who has not previously attended summer camps at Woodward, the camp office will credit your balance $25 for each camper. You will be notified of the credit and referral with an email from the summer camp office. New campers cannot refer each other and both get the referral credit, and we cannot issue credit unless your name is entered at the time a camper registers.

What do campers do between 7:30 and 9 a.m.?

The Woodward Morning Show entertains the campers during the morning drop-off period. The campers have the opportunity to play games, participate in challenges, watch movies on the big screen, and hang out with fellow campers. The younger campers enjoy a separate area of fun and games for their age group.

Can I bring a lunch for my child?

We provide lunch during summer camps, and it is included in the camp fee. You are welcome to bring a lunch for your camper if your child wants a particular food item that is not on our menu. Snacks are provided during Summer Odyssey Day Camp and WACtivity Camp.

What is the bus procedure in the morning and afternoon?

Morning Procedure: When you register for the bus in the camp registration process, your child will be included on the bus roster for the specific stops. The bus driver will check names in the morning at pick-up. A summer camp staff member greets the bus in the parking lot and escorts the campers to the camp check-in location. After check-in, campers participate in the Woodward Morning Show until camp roll call at 9 a.m.

Afternoon Procedure: At the end of the afternoon sessions of camps, the WACtivity director will call for the campers who will be taking the bus. The director and counselors will take roll and check the bus rosters for each child and escort the campers to the bus.

For specific bus and route information, visit the Bus Service page.
