Guided by Wisdom & Love. The Woodward Way.
Your child will be greeted every day with smiles, hugs, and laughter at Woodward North, our Johns Creek campus for prekindergarten through sixth grade.
They’ll begin their Woodward journey in the warm embrace of a community of caring and dedicated teachers, principals, and counselors, surrounded by classmates who represent the beautiful diversity of our world, learning to respect and value each other's differences. The Woodward Way begins at Woodward North by honoring, loving, and nurturing what is special in every student. After sixth grade, the journey continues in seventh through 12th grades on Main Campus. We provide a complimentary shuttle from Woodward North to bring students to College Park, where our scale allows us to offer an amazing array of opportunities in academics, the arts, and athletics in middle and high school.
Respecting ourselves, each other, our school and our world is the Woodward Way.
Academics
Your child will discover, collaborate, explore, and experiment in our Woodward North classrooms. Our 7:1 student-teacher ratio means teachers will get to know and love your child deeply, understanding where they need challenges or extra support. Our Responsive Classrooms, an evidence-based approach to elementary teaching, focus on the strong link between academic success and social-emotional learning.
STEAM
Your student will build a solid foundation at Woodward North for understanding mathematical concepts, using computational skills efficiently, and solving problems strategically. Students learn about scientific processes through hands-on experimentation, and our STEAM specialists collaborate with your child’s teacher to integrate technology into social studies, science, and language arts. Here, your student will invent, create, and code and learn to think critically, analyze data, understand connections, and work together to problem-solve. Robotics products including Bee-Bots, Code-a-pillars, LEGO Mindstorms EV3, and Dash and Dots are used to introduce the concept of writing algorithms.
“We’re thankful for the Woodward experience and the inclusive environment and high standards set by Mrs. Marien and Mrs. Namburar at Woodward North, where our twin daughters are in third grade. Our son began his Woodward journey in pre-K at Woodward North, graduated sixth grade, and is now thriving at Main Campus. The nurturing, yet challenging environment enabled him to become a confident, well-rounded student.

Cocurriculars
At Woodward North, your student can explore a wide array of activities both during and after the school day. They can stay after school for free intramural sports, or join classmates in cocurriculars during afterschool care, which is open until 6 p.m. Our parents really like the convenience of having school and activities like engineering and robotics, chess, or science club in one place.
Explore our many exciting cocurricular opportunities.
Arts
Every child is an artist, and your child will explore and expand their creative horizons in our visual art classes—drawing, creating, painting, and even making ceramics in our on-site kiln with the assistance of teachers. They’ll sing and play instruments when they take music classes, and dance is an option, too. Our talent shows are a beloved annual tradition, and we also showcase student artwork in an exhibit every spring. If you’ve got a young pianist in your family, private lessons are available before, during, and after school.
Time to Move
Kids need to move around to express themselves. From classroom movement breaks and P.E. to dance class, recess, and afterschool activities like golf and soccer, your child will spend time engaged in kinetic learning and physical education—and having fun with their friends! Our students especially love our horseback riding lessons, offered once a week during P.E. class.
At our Woodward North campus—conveniently located in Johns Creek—your child will enjoy a warm, nurturing, yet academically challenging environment. Here they will discover their own unique interests under the caring attention of our talented team of teachers. With a wide range of clubs, arts opportunities, intramurals, and a nature trail, your child will flourish at Woodward North.
